I've been toying around with the idea of writing a song about the book of Ruth from the Bible... now if you know me (really well) you'd know three things 1. My relationship with religion is sharp and pointy and messed up 2. I may be a man, but I'm a bit of a feminist. 3. I think Ruth kicks ass and that the Bible gets the whole story wrong. So this would be a song that wouldn't exactly appeal to anyone orthodox to the Old Testament. At this point its 4 songs in one, one for each chapter. I kind of imagine some things, like a lesbian subtext and a rape scene. Yeah. I know that the Decemberist's, especially "The Crane Wife" has inspired this idea, so I'm trying to avoid that feel. I mean, I'm not one to use big fancy words, and I've never been accused of being 'clever'. It will probably turn out a giant emotional mess... like any of my music isn't.

Anyway, that's all I'm saying for now... hope to maybe have something posted soon, but I'm really busy with other things at the moment.
